 Christie Brinkley spent the Fourth of July “blowing off some steam” at ex Billy Joel’s Sag Harbor, N.Y., house, a source said.
Brinkley, whose ugly divorce from Peter Cook has been heating up in court, arrived with daughter Alexa Joel, 20, and “seemed good,” says a friend of the supermodel’s. “She was just blowing off some steam, being with family. It was just a relaxing little get-together. Nothing special. Just what everyone does on the Fourth.”
Another onlooker says Brinkley, Alexa, Billy and about a dozen friends “were having a blast,” eating barbecue ribs and corn and sipping white wine.
At one point Alexa dropped her first plate of food – “they were all laughing about that,” says the source.
As for Brinkley, “she was hugging the kids there, they were all laughing and eating. They seemed really relaxed.”
The day before, Brinkley also surrounded herself with family and friends, enjoying a midday lunch with her son Jack, 13, and a girlfriend at Gosman’s Dock in Montauk, N.Y.
“Christie looked beautiful in a white floral sundress, but she wasn’t exactly upbeat,” says a fellow diner. “Maybe just a little tired but she seemed relaxed – kind of just getting away from it all and having a nice lunch.”
“She seemed OK, said hi to a few friends,” says the source. “She was very pleasant – calm and casual.”
Meanwhile, Cook spent the holiday with his 13-year-old son Jack and girlfriend Suzanne Shaw. After picking up Jack from Brinkley’s house, the trio went for a ride on Cook’s boat, The Sweet Freedom.
“He seemed fine, relaxed,” says an onlooker at Island Surf shop in Sag Harbor, where Cook stopped in with Jack to pick up T-shirts and “stuff for camp.” Adds the source: “He’s always in here with his son. He’s a good guy – and a great dad.”

 The honeymoon may be over, but Nick Cannon is enjoying the married life even more.
Although his wife Mariah Carey wasn’t in Las Vegas with him, the “Wild ‘N Out” host said his marriage to the singer is anything but rocky, despite Internet reports to the contrary.
At the opening of Las Vegas’s Christian Audigier The Nightclub Friday, Cannon said his marriage is “amazing.”
“It’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” Cannon, who was sporting his wedding band, said.
Arriving just before midnight, Cannon quickly made his way to the club’s turntables where he began a two-hour set, spinning hip-hop, techno and rock.
At one point, he put on Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know.” Bobbing his head to the song, Cannon raised his hand high in the air and shouted the lyrics “Big ups, to all my haters.”
Carey and Cannon met on the set of her video “Bye Bye,” and after a whirlwind courtship tied the knot in May.

Rod Stewart and his wife English model Penny Lancaster were sailing in the Mediterranean over the weekend and apparently it was time for Rod's feeding. While I assumed that would require the blood of peasant children, it was way, way weirder than that. Turns out Rod Stewart is breastfed by his wife. I'll pause for a moment while you fuck the what. I guess growing old does come with some advantages - provided you're a world-famous millionaire singer with a yacht. Otherwise, this experience doesn't really translate well for us regular folks. Right, Grandpa? Hey, where'd you get a grenade?

Women's tennis star Maria Sharapova will be rocking a unique look at this year's Wimbeldon in London town.
She's ditching her famous figure hugging tennis dresses for 'tuxedo' ensembles of shorts and sleeveless tops.
The new look will reflect London's 'history in bespoke tailoring'. Maria's shorts will feature gold stitching and a subtle pin stripe.
Bucking tradition in style.

"I've never worn shorts at a Grand Slam," says Maria. "I'm going to be debuting that. Call it menswear, obviously. It's kind of like a tuxedo look, very simple lines, classic."

Katherine Heigl was spotted at her home yesterday getting ready to relax in her pool. Apparently she's not done wearing a bikini, and God bless her, may just wear one all summer. In the meantime, why is she hiding in fear in her own house from the paparazzi? I don't know about you, but if the paps were in my abode trying to snap a pic I'd come at them with something they'd never suspect: the whole fruit basket. I mean, these guys obviously braved the landmines, moat and T-Rex* to get a shot of your's truly, so they deserve a glimpse of something awesome and possibly diamond-crusted. Wink.
*I have many valuables. (Read: Comic books and Swedish fish.)

It's getting harder and harder for bands to make a splash with album releases these days.
So….musicians are thinking outside the box!
British pop punk band McFly is going the Prince route and teaming up with the UK's Daily Mail to give away its new music in the paper's Sunday, July 20th edition.
McFly's super dreamy singer/guitarist Tom Fletcher says, “We want to get our music out to the widest audience possible and working with a massive paper like The Mail On Sunday will definitely help us achieve that. We’re very excited about this great opportunity."
This partnership will give the band access to the Sunday Mail's reported 5.8 million readers.

Janet Jackson might be a singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and an actress, but the multi-talented diva is now adding designer to her list.
That's right.
Miz Jackson is set to launch her own clothing line.
But what makes it even better is that she'll be starting with lingerie.
Janet confirmed the news this past Saturday while attending the Versace menswear show during Milan Fashion Week in Italy.
When asked for more details, Jackson simply replied, "I'm working on it."
The line is set to be out before the end of the year.
Will U buy from Janet's new line?
Let's just hope her new bras won't be causing any "wardrobe malfunctions."

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were in court today for a custody hearing that actually had a happy ending. Both were seen leaving the courthouse in high spirits. Especially Britney who now has overnight visits with her sons. Unfortunately, she destroyed both their beds using them to slide down the stairs when her dad wasn't home. What? She doesn't know how to work the TV. TMZ reports:
Sources tell us Brit Brit, who has been slowly gaining visitation back inch by inch, has made such progress the Commish agreed in court today she's ready to have sons Jayden James and Sean Preston with her overnight. We hear Britney's parenting coach Lisa Hacker was at the hearing today, and answered several questions from the Commish.
It should be noted that, in an unprecedented legal decision, Kevin was granted permission to arm Jayden with a gun during the overnights. At first everyone gasped, then slowly started nodding their heads when they realized it was actually the greatest idea in the history of law. As for Britney, she just sat quietly and ate paper from a legal pad. "Why doesn't this taste like bananas?" she thought.

Anne Hathaway's ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, faces life in jail if convicted on the multitude of charges against him, including wire fraud and money laundering.
The Italian businessman was arrested on Tuesday, and now, his bail has been set at $21 million.
$21 MILLION!
If he can come up with the cash, then he will be allowed to leave jail and live under house arrest.
This is God's way of telling him, "You fucked with the wrong bitch, this time!"
