Though the shows are a couple months from now WWD Beauty Biz has already picked its top girls for September. The stellar list features MDC favorites Abbey Lee (Next Models NY) and Kinée (New York Model Management) as well as the lovely Taryn Davidson (DNA Models) and Gantz Gilles Zhavoronkova (1 Model Management). Nicole Kidman, who I completely forgot was pregnant, gave birth to baby girl Sunday Rose Kidman Urban this morning. This is Nicole's first child and Keith Urban's as well. Her two children with Tom Cruise are adopted and creepy Scientologists, so they don't count. Us Magazine reports:
The baby weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
"Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well," the rep said.
I have to admit Keith and Nicole do look happy. He's also not hung up on her size like a certain knee-high Thetan. (Yeah, I'm looking at you Travolta!) If Tom Cruise were in these pictures he'd be wearing a jetpack and yelling "Look at me! I'm tall too! You can't legally declare someone a midget! I wear big boy pants! WHEE!" Then he'd get caught in a spider web.
Congrats to Nicole, Keith and Sunday Rose!

I know Will Smith is Mr. Fourth of July and all, but, yoiks, $107 million for "Hancock" since last Tuesday? And $66 million over the long weekend alone? At almost 4,000 theaters, that's a mighty fine $16,600 per theater average -- not bad for a movie that commits hari-kiri at the midway point and falls over stone dead. (I mean, you've seen the movie -- did you really buy that? Really?)
This was the kind of opener the industry's been hoping for, even in a stronger than expected summer, and it managed the feat of throwing "WALL-E" into the box office shadows of second place with $33 million. (Leonard Klady at Movie City News believes the latest from Pixar will ultimately get outgrossed by the simpler and more broad-appeal "Kung Fu Panda." You may start weeping now.)
"Wanted," interestingly, added a few more theaters but still dropped off by 60%, meaning those who wanted to see it saw it opening weekend. Jolie may have legs but I'm betting the movie doesn't. Also roadkill was "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," which expanded from 15 theaters to almost 2,000 and eked out $3.6 million. Guess the warm advance reviews weren't able to get audiences out of the Will Smith habit.
Down in indieland, "The Wackness" opened at six theaters with a very strong $25K per theater average, which bodes well for its Boston opening this Friday. Those of you who've been waiting to see A) Josh from Nickelodeon's "Drake and Josh" play a pot-dealing high schooler in 1994 Manhattan and B) Mary-Kate Olsen and Ben Kingsley having wild monkey sex in a phone booth will be well served. "Gonzo," the Hunter S. Thompson docu, actually outgrossed "Wackness" $190K to $180K, but played in over four times as many theaters, so you do the math.

 Britney Spears will team up with Madonna – virtually – during the singer’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour.
“Britney is going to film something for Madonna’s show in the next week or so,” Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, says.
As for details about what they will be doing – and where it will be filmed – Rosenberg says, “I don’t know. It’s a secret.”
Contrary to published reports, Spears is not in New York to film the video segments, nor has she already shot anything.
This isn’t the first collaboration for the pop stars. The two famously teamed up during the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, sharing the stage – and one memorable kiss – during the broadcast.
Spears is not expected to perform with Madonna, whose tour kicks off in Wales next month. The U.S. leg of her tour starts Oct. 4 in East Rutherford, N.J.

 Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, have welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, born Monday morning in Nashville.
“Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well,” said spokesman Paul Freundlich, who added that the couple were “delighted” to make the announcement. He also said the baby girl weighed 6 lbs., 7.5 oz.
The pregnancy was first announced in January. Kidman has two other children with her former husband Tom Cruise: Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13.
In the days leading up to the birth, the couple – who celebrated their second wedding anniversary on June 25 – didn’t stray from their normal routine in and around Nashville, where they reside in a gated community.
From early morning stops at a local Starbucks for warm drinks to a little sweat at the gym later in the day (Kidman was a regular at spin and yoga classes during her pregnancy), the couple remained low-key.
“She’s never been happier and healthier,” says a close family friend. “She is absolutely radiant and enjoying nesting and homemaking with Keith at their new home in Nashville.”
But getting ready for their baby was a priority. Urban admitted he was learning a new vocabulary for fatherhood and doing Lamaze lessons. “He doesn’t know the name [of the classes], but he has been very good at it!” Kidman told a local radio station on June 24.
The new parents also bought a couple of books to help them along: Pocket Dad: Everyday Wisdom and Your Pregnancy, Week By Week.
“The unknown excites me a lot,” Urban told reporters in May. “What kind of feelings will fatherhood bring? I’m sure I can’t even imagine, but I am really looking forward to finding out.”

While A-Rod's marriage falls apart, Madonna decided it'd be a good time to issue a statement to People letting everyone know she's going to stick with Guy Ritchie. She also apparently decided it'd be a good time to look like the bad guy from Hellboy II. I have no idea:
My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”
After issuing her statement, Madonna opened her mouth and released a horde of flies throughout Lower Manhattan allowing Guy Ritchie to kidnap another black boy. Oh, sure, people say that's David Banda, but then tell me: Who is this?! *pulls back window curtains* .... I swear to God I hid a black kid back here. I sort of "borrowed" him from the employee day care. *sniff sniff* I smell moth balls and sarcophagus funk. Madonna was here wasn't she? Shit. I may get fired for this one. Unless... *picks up phone* Hello, Domino's? I want a pizza with "I didn't even know we had a day care" spelled out in pepperoni.

 Angelina Jolie received two special visitors over the weekend in her French hospital room: brother James Haven and son Maddox.
A bodyguard carried Maddox, 6, into the hospital on Friday, July 4 to spend time with his mom, while James – wearing an orange sweatshirt and sunglasses – entered the hospital Saturday through a side entrance and stayed for an hour and a half.
After his visit, Jolie’s brother left in the family’s Mercedes van. Jolie, who checked into a hospital in the South of France last week, hasn’t been without a steady stream of well wishers. Last week, Brad Pitt visited Jolie at the hospital with daughters Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.
Security has increased at the medical center since Jolie, 33, checked into Fondation Lenval Hospital in Nice.
During a press conference on July 2, her doctor told reporters that the actress, who is expecting twins, was not due for several weeks.

 Alex Rodriguez’s relationship with Madonna was “an affair of the heart” – not “sexual infidelity” – according to Cynthia Rodriguez’s lawyer.
Still, the baseball star’s relationship with the singer “was the last straw” before the Yankee slugger’s wife filed for divorce Monday, her Houston attorney, Earle Lilly, said.
Lilly says that A-Rod was smitten with Madonna, but makes no claim of any sexual liaison. “The correct analysis is a relationship,” he says. “Some people categorize an affair as something as sexual infidelity. We’re not claming that. It’s an affair of the heart.”
Over the weekend, Madonna issued a statement denying a romantic relationship with the baseball star, saying, “I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage.”
In fact, “Madonna’s name is not even mentioned in the papers,” says Lilly. “We don’t want the public to think this is an aggressive action against Madonna.”
Still, Lilly maintains that A-Rod has behaved badly for “a good while” and his client, Cynthia Rodriguez, has had enough. “She’s just a Greek Orthodox lady who has had as much as she can take,” he says.
Shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, Cynthia’s Miami attorney Maurice Kutner filed the divorce petition.
“This is an action for dissolution of marriage, which is being filed only after [Cynthia Rodriguez] has exhausted every effort to salvage the marriage of the parties,” the document reads. “However, Alex has emotionally abandoned his wife and children and has left her with no choice but to divorce him.”
Without naming any names, the document states, “The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband’s extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct.”
The couple were married Nov. 2, 2002 in Dallas. They have two daughters, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 2 months.
Both Lilly and Kutner maintain that their client hopes to settle the divorce as amicably as possible.
“Cynthia has made it very clear to me that she wants to take the high road and protect her children and herself,” Kutner said shortly after filing the papers. “She wants to resolve the issues between Alex and herself in an amicable fashion.”
A lawyer reportedly representing Alex Rodriguez did not immediately return calls for comment.
