"I didn't want any surprises. Honestly, I didn't want any [vaginal] tearing. I had heard horror stories of women going in and having to have an emergency C-section [anyway]. The hardest part was deciding on his birthday. I wanted to leave it up to fate, but at the same time I was ready to be done early!"

After reading this Italian blog review of The Nines, I’m convinced that the translation technology behind Babelfish is actually Icelandic singer Björk.
I confess. They are remained struck by lightning from the film The Nines, of which for other I do not have news regarding the distribution in Italy. To the foreign country it is already exited in DVD. Which thing has of special The Nines?
Beh, is an independent film that it knows to astonish with one apparently simple weft, but much deep one. Three episodes in which the same actors they interpret various parts, in some way tied. It will be only discovered to the end. A film that leaves numerous interrogated to you and that it deserves of being discussed and see again.
Which thing alloy The Nines to the net? The director and scripteriter of the film, John August, have a blog. In its blog he has published the audio comment to the film, bonus that in kind he only finds himself on the DVD, free of charge. He has commented the escape of the film in the exchange circuits rows with sobrietà, convinced that it is only a good for the film that is seen and that if of it speaks.
In order to promote the film it has been opportunely launch a competition in order to realize a trailer beginning from “social” some material puttinges to disposition of the navigators. The sonorous column is simply sublime. Pack-saddles to listen to the topic of Alex Wurman in order to convince itself. In Italy, but that it has participated to the Festival of Venice 2007, probably nobody has seen this film and is a true sin. It deserves.

We're not exactly a prude, but we'd expect a Disney star to dress and look a bit more modest than Miley Cyrus has been lately.
She just doesn't give a fuck, and we kinda like that!
The Hannah Montana star is a bad girl, and you can only keep them tame for so long. The inner bad girl will unleash herself, eventually. Just look at Britney. And Lindsay. BOTH former Disney stars too!
Cyrus and a gal pal had a girly Valentine's lunch at the very public The Ivy in Beverly Hills yesterday.
Miley accessorized her short dress/skirt with hooker boots.
Aren't those from the Julia Roberts Pretty Woman collection????

Airport police arrested actress Bai Ling ( Lost, Revenge of the Sith) after she stole two celebrity magazines and a pack of batteries from a gift shop at Los Angeles International Airport (mugshot above), according to the AP:
The items had a total value of $16, said Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the airport's police department. The 41-year-old actress was detained by a store employee who summoned police, Holcomb said.
First rule of celebrity shoplifting: Steal something big. That way, when you get busted, people don't go, "Damn, what an idiot." If you're caught boosting a Ferrari, that's totally understandable and, also, hardcore. Stealing batteries? Everyone thinks you're crazy. Or an emotionless robot like in Star Wars. What was its name? Oh yeah; Hayden Christensen.
UPDATE: E! News reports Bai Ling blames "huge problem of breaking up [before] Valentine's Day." I guess she just needed the warm fuzzy feeling of ganking some Duracells. It all makes sense now.

Lily Allen spent 16 hours pAArtying straight yesterday: hitting the Vivienne Westwood fashion show, the Mulberry party and stumbling out of Punk nightclub early this morning, amongst some of the highlights.
She may have spent the day without a man, but by the look of things, she had A LOT of fun!
Hopefully she's not TOO hung over, though. She's got a show to host tonight.
Then again, no one is watching it.
Drink up!

**NOTE** My online chat advertised in today's paper won't be happening, as a last-minute noontime screening has arisen. ("Vantage Point," if you're curious.) Sorry; see you in a few Fridays.

Reviewer Ethan Gilsdorf had problems figuring out "Khadak" (photo above), the Mongolian film unspooling at the MFA tonight. I still say you should check it out; I would have if I hadn't been so busy this week dealing with George Romero zombies and Ryan Reynolds romantic comedies, both of which are much better movies than they have any right to be. In the case of the latter, I say thank God for Isla Fisher, who makes "Definitely Maybe" a date movie you actually wouldn't be ashamed to take a date to.
Bugs Bunny all weekend long at the Brattle. Experimental filmmaker Ernie Gehr in person and in film at the Harvard Film Archive. A still from his film "Side/Walk/Shuttle" is below; click on it to get a sense of how Gehr playfully turns San Francisco upside down and inside-out.
