Sunday, February 10th, 2008Originally created in the mid-60s, “Jot” was an animated series presented by none other than the Southern Baptist’s Radio & Television Commission. Production ran until 1981, when either the money dried up or the show’s original creators relented to the rising tide of moral corruptibility.
Given the Bible-thumping tales it weaves, each episode is surprisingly psychedelic. (In the movie above, don’t miss the ink swirl sequences near the middle.) There are also some great type treatments and minimalist design, all making for a classic, entertaining little package. Love those cute Texas accents, too.

A fire in London's Camden area devastated the legendary Hawley Arms pub, a favorite of Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss, this past weekend.
"In a word, I'm devastated," Ruth Charles-Ridler, the pub's landlady, said as she arrived at the scene to assess the damage Sunday morning. "Everyone I've spoken to is in complete shock. This was a good community pub where everybody knew everybody else. It is a great loss to Camden Town."
We'll have to have a drink for the Hawley tonight!

Poor Lily!
The British singer seems to be going from one low to the another.
After her recent miscarriage, Allen is taking a break from her music career and is instead focusing on a new chat show.
Well, things have started off very badly for the wannabe TV personality!
During the first taping for her new program this past weekend, one third of the audience walked out. And the audience was made up of all her MySpace friends!
Ouch!
Those that walked out said they were bored and complaining the show was "horrible" and "limp".
Well, at least she can fall back on music, hopefully.
