Olympic champion ice skater Scott Hamilton and his wife, Tracie, celebrated the birth of their second son on Monday at a Tennessee hospital, the couple confirmed.

“Mom and son are doing just fine,” Hamilton said in a text message.

Maxx Hamilton arrived at 7:51 a.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz., and measured 20 inches long, Hamilton said. He joins big brother, 4-year-old Aidan.

Hamilton, 49, and Tracie, 38, have been married since 2002, and they reside in Nashville, Tenn.

Hamilton won the gold medal in men’s ice skating at the Sarajevo Olympics in 1984. He is expected to provide commentary for the upcoming U.S. Figure Skating Championships this weekend in St. Paul, Minn., but those plans could change due to Maxx’s arrival.

The champ played a skating announcer in last year’s comedy Blades of Glory starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder. Last fall, Hamilton completed taping a series of episodes for the ABC TV series Wanna Bet? and AOL Television’s Jury Duty.

Hamilton continues to co-produce Stars on Ice, which he conceived and co-founded in 1986. He retired from full-time touring with the production during its 2000-2001 season. Known the last several years as Smucker’s Stars on Ice, the show entered its 22nd consecutive U.S. touring season this month.

After 48 days behind bars, Kiefer Sutherland was released from incarceration Monday morning at a Glendale, Calif. jail.

The actor left at 12:05 a.m., according to jail spokesman John Balian.

“[Kiefer] looked like he was glad to be out,” said Balian, who added that the actor was wearing a shirt and jeans when he left, and took home whatever personal belongings he originally brought with him.

Sutherland, 41, served his entire sentence for a second DUI conviction and for violating probation. He spent his birthday, Christmas and New Year’s at the Los Angeles-area facility.

“Throughout his stay, he never griped, never complained,” Balian previously said. “He never wanted preferential treatment from the get go, and we respect him for that.”

Sutherland was housed alone in an 8 by 10 foot cell, but was not confined to it, having access to a larger day room with a TV.

The actor was only visited by his attorney. The 24 star did not include any family or friends on his visitor request list. (His doctor was the only other approved visitor).

Sutherland kept largely to himself, having scant contact with other inmates, Balian said.

The actor was also sentenced to five years probation, and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program and attend weekly therapy sessions for six months.

Britney Spears’s photographer boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, was surprised to learn of rumors that the pop star has requested a restraining order against him.

“All I can say is that I have not been in contact with Britney since early Friday morning,” Ghalib says in a message posted on the Web site of his employer, FinalPixx. “The reason being, that I have has to attend a family funeral in Santa Barbara. My phone has been off during this time out of respect for my family. I am only now becoming aware of what is being said. I hope to be back home in Los Angeles soon and to be in contact with Miss Spears.”

The news of a the supposed restraining order came from two paparazzi who were invited into Spears’s home at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, and spent several hours with the singer and her longtime friend Sam Lutfi.

According to one of the photographers, Lutfi said that they’d filed a request for a restraining order against Ghalib because they want him “out of Britney’s life.”

“Britney asked us to leave the cameras in the car, and? she poured some champagne for us. She was very sweet,” said one of the photographers. “Sam was telling us to not worry about Adnan because they have filed a restraining order against him.”

The Los Angeles police department says they are “not aware” of any emergency protective orders issued against Ghalib. The L.A. Sheriff’s department also says no order was issued.

Chris Noth and long-time girlfriend Tara Wilson have welcomed a son, a rep for the actor confirms.

“I am happy to confirm that Chris Noth and Tara Wilson are the proud parents of a happy and healthy baby boy,” the rep said.

Orion Christopher Noth was born in Los Angeles on Friday, and weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz.

“Chris and Tara are thrilled and all are doing well,” says the rep.

Wilson met the 53-year-old Sex and the City star while working at his New York bar, The Cutting Room. The couple will soon appear on the big screen together as well, in the indie drama Frame of Mind. Noth plays a journalist in the film and Wilson has a supporting role in the movie, which was filmed in Carlstadt, N.J., last year.

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower Saturday on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.

The singer and her husband Marc Anthony both attended the afternoon shower, which was hosted by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez’s producer on the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan.

Lopez, 38, “looked very pretty – and very pregnant,” according to an eyewitness, who saw the couple arrive flanked by bodyguards.

Among the guests were actress Leah Remini and designer Roberto Cavalli, who gifted Lopez with a pink leopard crib, according to a source. As for the décor, everything at the shower was blue and pink – and the room was covered with Swarovski crystal, said the source.

Last month the singer, who is due in a few weeks, was given matching pink and blue Tuni & G onesies from her sister Lynda Lopez. The pop star has been mum about whether she’s expecting twins, though multiple sources have said she’s having two bundles of joy.

The singer first announced she would be starting a family with her husband of three years, Marc Anthony, 39, last November after months of speculation.

“This is a special time in our lives,” Lopez told an audience during a concert in Miami, the final stop on the couple’s El Cantante tour.

Even as her baby bump grew increasingly noticeable with each performance, Lopez had avoided discussing her impending motherhood.

“We’re just getting used to the fact that we’ve told everybody” Lopez tells Harper’s Bazaar for its February issue.

When asked how long she is planning to take off from her career as a singer, actress and designer, Lopez says, “I don’t know – and I like that.”

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics who responded to Britney Spears’s home last week will testify at her custody hearing on Monday, a source says.

“The emergency personnel will describe what transpired that night,” the source says.

Court documents show Kevin Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan on Thursday subpoenaed the LAPD investigative report and the identity of the officers on the scene at Spears’s four-hour custody standoff.

If the court decides on Monday to further suspend Spears’s visitation rights, the singer may not see her sons until April, when the ex-couple’s custody trial begins, Kaplan said.

As for whether Kaplan is amenable to Britney regaining visitation, he said on Monday, “It’s a very short time since the events of Thursday and certainly I have seen nothing that has caused me to believe that there are dynamics in play now that will change my mind about the orders we sought.”

Federline was temporarily granted sole legal and physical custody of sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, after Spears was hospitalized. Spears and Federline are not required to personally show in court on Monday.

‘Medically Treatable Reason’?
“It’s extremely unlikely Spears will get visitation back at the next hearing,” says family law attorney Lynn Soodik, who’s not involved in the case. “She would have to prove that the standoff occurred due to a medically treatable reason.”

“On the other hand, it’s a terrible thing to keep children away from their mother,” Soodik adds. “The courts will have to weigh that against the trauma of another possible standoff situation.”

Even if Spears receives no custody after April’s trial, “custody arrangements are always modifiable,” Soodik says. “Since the kids are so young, that would just be the end of Round 1.”

At the trial in April, a child custody evaluator will recommend to the court who the kids should be with, and any additional evidence regarding Federline’s original request for primary physical custody.

“Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that both parties will be back in court,” Soodik says.

Josh Duhamel has his life in order – he has a hit TV show, stunning good looks and new fiancée. The only complication? Planning a perfectly fergalicious wedding.

Recently engaged to Fergie, his girlfriend-of-three-years, the TV star said, “We’re in the preliminary stages” of wedding preparations. (As for a potential date, the actor would only say “soon.”)

His fiancée, a.k.a. The Dutchess, did not join Duhamel at Thursday’s 100th episode celebration for Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort – but their pending nuptials were clearly at the forefront of his mind. And Vegas, being the wedding capital of the world, wasn’t giving him any ideas, either.

“Right now, we’re just figuring it all out,” he said, adding that they haven’t settled on a size or location for the ceremony. “We’re just enjoying it. It’s all great, though.”

News of the couple’s engagement first broke on Christmas Day. “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” Fergie, 32, said soon afterward. “I’m thrilled.”

Also thrilled: Duhamel, whose NBC show is still going strong in it’s fifth season. Joined castmates Molly Sims, Camille Guaty and James Lesure, the actor accepted the key to the city before dining at N9NE Steakhouse and retreating to a private cast party.

“We all feel very fortunate, lucky and excited to be here,” he said.

With fiancé Cash Warren by her side, Jessica Alba can’t help gushing about her impending baby joy.

“It’s awesome,” she said Thursday in L.A. at Glamour magazine’s kickoff for V-Day’s 10th Anniversary. “It’s the best time ever. I have two movies coming out, a baby, a fiancé – everything.”

The 26-year-old actress, who’s due in late spring or early summer, said the pregnancy has been smooth so far. But, she admitted, “I’m more tired, more hungry than normal.”

Alba – who also recently announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Warren, 28, the baby’s father – also said she’s enjoying a rare break from acting.

“I don’t know if anyone wants me in their movies [when I’m] six months pregnant,” she joked. “I’ll get the fire and I’ll want to work again, but right now it’s a time to relax and sit back.”

For now, the actress is focused on a more personal project: “I bought a new house a couple weeks ago. I’m in nesting phase.”

Later, Alba joked about her growing baby bump as she performed “My Short Skirt,” a scene from Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues.

“I hope [my dress] won’t pop while I’m up here,” she said. “And if it does, you’re all women, and I think you’ll understand it. [When you’re pregnant], your breasts are engorged and your stomach is getting bigger. . . . And the ass, too, that’s getting bigger by the second!”

James Gandolfini and his girlfriend, Deborah Lin, are engaged.

“Reps are happy to announce that he and his girlfriend Deborah Lin recently got engaged during the holidays,” a statement released by HBO said Thursday.

According to a source on perezhilton.com – where the news was first announced – the Sopranos star “popped the question while in the Bahamas … They’re thrilled.”

Gandolfini, 46, who divorced wife Marcella in 2002 after nearly four years of marriage, became briefly engaged to Lora Somoza in 2004. That relationship ended in February 2005.

Her career’s on a roll, but some of Tyra Banks’s early ambitions have been shoved aside – such as having a baby.

“After the talk show started, and I had Top Model at the same time, it engulfed me so much that it dulled my maternal instinct,” the star of both The Tyra Banks Show and America’s Next Top Model Banks, 34, tells Essence magazine for its February issue.

Not that the first African-American woman to grace the covers of GQ, Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue and the Victoria’s Secret catalogue has completely abandoned hope of raising a family. “I hope that when I get more of a handle on my life it comes back,” she says of the maternal instinct.

Although Banks, who is developing shows for Warner Bros. and one with Ashton Kutcher, is not complaining, she does say, “I’d go to work and women would be crying in my arms on the talk show. But then I’d go home and put my key in my door and … nothing: no friends, no husband, no children. I feel so full when I’m at work but so empty when I come home.”

Though Banks won’t open up about it, Essence reports the buzz that she’s involved with investment banker John Utendahl, 50 – and that’s why she moved production of her shows to New York from Los Angeles.

Responds Banks huffily: “I’m very insulted by that rumor. I employ a lot of people; their livelihoods rest on my shows. The move to New York was a decision I made with my manager. It was not about a man.”
