Osama Lutfi and Jamie & Lynne Spears are engaged in a bitter, behind the scenes, public relations campaign against each other.
And Britney's parents are winning!
Though Lutfi visited the UCLA Medical Center more than once on Thursday, Us Weekly is reporting that Lutfi "had no contact with Britney."
Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that Jamie & Lynne are the ones calling the shots in the hospital and advising the doctors on Spears' treatment.
Lutfi, for his part, is just publicly badmouthing Britney's parents.
Jamie & Lynne are winning this war!

If you didn't catch the Spice Girls reunion tour during the majority of their dates in the UK or the U.S., then you're fucked!
Though they had promised to go to Asia, South America, Australia and other places, the ladies have now officially announced that they will be ending their run after their last shows in the U.S. this month.
Bummer!
TheSpiceGirls.com says:
01 February 2008
IMPORTANT TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT
Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria. It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and the US, the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the UK and the US along with the touring logistics for such a massive production it was not possible to fit everything in. As the girls return to normal family life and the kids go back to school they are reviewing all the options, who knows what the future might bring!
The girls said: “We’ve had such an amazing time over the last 3 months. It’s been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. We want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was all so mad the first time round, so we’ve really been able to appreciate it properly this time. There have been so many highlights and good times that we know it will be hard to be apart after Toronto. Really sorry if we didn’t get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments in our lives now but who knows what will happen next.”

TMZ revealed today that Eva Mendes is in rehab battling a substance abuse problem:
We're told the "Ghost Rider" star is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance. The Lodge, which treated Lindsay Lohan and other stars, is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country.
Eva has been at Cirque for several weeks.
Her addiction? My guess is ass-patting. I had a problem with it myself. It was really affecting my work. I mean, I would pat anyone's ass. My secretary, random co-workers, Ted in Accounting. Also the copying machine. Oh, that copying machine. Such a tight buttocks on that one... But, anyway, I got some help and I think I'm better for it. Best of luck to Eva.

Sam Lufti pleaded his case to Ryan Seacrest last night and said he has a “moral obligation” to help Britney, according to E! Online:
"You meet her and she cries, and she begs you not to turn on her," Lutfi said in an emotional phone call to Seacrest at roughly 8:15 p.m. Thursday. "You would do the same for any of your sisters. I have three sisters—I would do the same for them."
Sam also claims that Britney doesn’t pay him and he hasn’t accepted a dime from the media. He then shared his feelings on Britney’s family and is through trying to keep the peace:
And while Spears' parents continue to cast doubt on him and object to his intervention in their daughter's life, they're the ones who are "incapable of telling the truth and incapable of sympathizing," Lutfi said, adding that "they're more concerned about money and their own image than Britney's condition."
Sam ended the phone call by getting into Britney’s brand new Mercedes Benz which he drove back to her mansion. He comforted himself by watching movies on her ridiculously large HD TV and helped himself to the fridge. Afterwards he relaxed in the Jacuzzi and wondered if this is how Jesus felt after he helped all those people. Then he noticed something was clogging one of the jets. Aw, gross, it’s a tickler – and a chicken wing. Dammit, Britney.
EDIT: So apparently, after all this time, it's actually Sam LuTFi not Sam LuFTi. Great, now this douchebag is bringing me down. I'll get you, LUFTFI!

Shilo recently directed and animated this nice little promo for Cartoon Network. A combination of traditional cel, 2D, 3D animation, together with hand-drawn imagery and live-action (so pretty much every discipline)! I can’t say it’s anything new to motion graphics (it’s been done quite a few times and recently for Kanye Wests Good Life video), but what I can say is that this is an exceptionally good example and the execution is so amazingly slick.

Sam is kicked to the curb by Lucky; hurt by Sonny, Kate confides in Jax.
Devastated by the truths he learned about Sam, Lucky eventually went home and confronted her about her schemes and scams. Sam tried to explain, but Lucky was resolute in the fact that nothing she could say would make him forgive her, or allow him to ever trust her with the boys. He asked her to leave and declared them over. It's the bed she…

Michelle Williams’ reps at ID public relations successfully pulled off a campaign to stop Entertainment Tonight from airing a video that showed Heath Ledger at a hotel party in 2006 where he talked about doing drugs. ET had paid $200,000 for the video, but ultimately opted not to air it after Michelle’s reps e-mailed several celebs. Page Six reports:
Paramount, the studio behind "ET," was soon flooded with calls. Scarlett Johansson text-messaged: "As if Heath's poor family doesn't have enough to suffer through." A rep for Johansson confirmed she "was involved." "ET" producers also got a call from Natalie Portman and e-mails from Josh Brolin and Sarah Jessica Parker, said a source.
Sarah Jessica Parker? Yikes! You better do what she says or else she’ll show up at your office in a maelstrom of horseface and high heels. Nobody wants that. Not even Matthew Broderick.

The psychiatrist who hospitalized Britney Spears is a highly respected therapist known for her compassion, a former colleague says.
“She’s an excellent clinician and an excellent psychiatrist,” says Harold Young, the clinical director at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, where Spears’s psychiatrist Dr. Deborah Nadel worked for about five years.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Nadel graduated from University of California Medical School in San Francisco 18 years ago, and she did her residency at UCLA, records show.
Nadel, who has recently started treating the troubled pop star, had instigated Spears’s second hospitalization in January, this time at UCLA Medical Center’s psychiatric ward, for a 72-hour evaluation, sources says.
Spears chose Nadel from a list of doctors recommended by her lawyers, a source says.
Young, who worked with Nadel about 12 years ago at the center – a non-profit agency that provides low-cost counseling to people in need – said Nadel is now on the staff at UCLA and is “well thought of in the therapeutic community.”
“I think [Britney] is in somebody’s hands who will be caring, concerned, compassionate and respectful,” says Young.
